Our Story

Jowam Coffee Roasters Ltd was established in 2023 as the roasting division of Jowam Coffee Traders, which has been at the heart of Kenya’s specialty coffee movement for nearly two decades. Drawing on decades of expertise in sourcing and quality control, our roastery combines traditional coffee knowledge with modern roasting techniques. Born from a passion for connecting farmers’ dedication with coffee lovers worldwide, we’ve created a bridge between Kenya’s rich coffee heritage and the world.

Our Coffee Origins

Kenya is renowned for producing some of the world’s most exceptional coffee. We source from six premier coffee regions, each with its own terroir and flavor profile:

Meru – Known for complex, wine-like acidity and fruit-forward notes. Murang’a – Produces balanced, sweet coffees with chocolate undertones. Nyeri – Offers bright acidity and floral characteristics. Kirinyaga – Volcanic soils produce dense, full-bodied beans with spice notes. Bungoma – Higher altitudes yield complex, aromatic coffees. Kisii – Creates smooth, well-rounded cups with fruity nuances.
